Just a little bit of film
Pure Excitement.
The only way to describe the feeling of collecting my first couple of rolls of film.

Read MoreThe entirety of my winter months so far has been a constant struggle to find motivation. I feel like I am not alone in this, the bitter winter months don't leave much to be desired. Couple the bitter cold, with a lack of daylight and a dash of seasonal depression, and you get a nasty cocktail for a lack of motivation....
Read MoreI find myself here again. Sifting through the 10's of thousands of photos I have taken these past few years. I've looked at them again, no different the many times before. Yet somehow each time I reach back I find myself resonating with vastly different images. Somedays I am feeling nostalgic and seek out memories. Others I am just looking to re-edit photos that I previously took the time to appreciate. I guess today fits somewhere in the middle.
Read MoreI often have a hard time believing that I have had the chance to go to New York City. It has now been just a little over a year since I got back.

Read MoreI think it would only be appropriate to start this post off by picking up where I last left off. The week of the of my last Blog post. I discussed briefly about a jam packed week of photo opportunities and went more in detail on 1 of the 4........
Read MoreI woke up Tuesday of last week feeling rejuvenated, ready to take on the world. Following a wicked weekend full of excitement and constant motion, I resisted the urge to recharge my batteries. Instead I decided to try and tackle all of the tasks I had been putting off.....
Read MoreWell this is a very unfamiliar medium of expression. Seems like it has been ages since I have taken the time to actually go into detail about a recent adventure (8 Months to be exact). As of recent I have found myself in a place of uncertainty, mostly regarding my pursuit of becoming a great Photographer. Is this working? Am I good enough to make it? How do I make that next step? Do people actually look forward to seeing my work? I could go on and on about my insecurities as an artist. These aren't always a bad thing however....
Read MoreIt was less then a week out from my first ever live photo event and I still hadn’t gone out and bought the proper gear to even shoot it. My two friends started an event promotion company in January called Second World Collective. They asked if I would do a free show for them to get experience and to help them cut costs. They promised future work, if it turned out well, and promised to “pay” me this time with beer coupons (not a bad trade off.) I remember searching through Kijiji (It’s a classified ad website used in Canada.) like a mad man, refreshing the camera section every 10 minutes. I was looking for a flash to mount on my Nikon D5000. Something preferably higher than a SB-400, but also nothing too professional, that way I could learn and not out grow it quickly. To my surprise, after less than a couple days of scouring I found a reasonably priced SB-600. It was located super close to my office at work, and he was able to meet at anytime. I managed to sneak away during my lunch break the Thursday before the show.
Read MoreI found myself taking some of the final steps I need to take for my upcoming trip today. After being rained out of work on this gloomy Wednesday I headed straight to the passport office, right in the heart of the downtown area of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Getting my passport is the last of 3 steps I need to take:
1. Get my Passport
2. Travel Insurance
3. Buying my Ticket to Dublin.
I never had the need to get my passport before this; everywhere I had ever traveled to would have always been in the country. I really have been traveling since I can remember. My mother moved to Vancouver Island when I was 8 and I proceeded to fly 5864 km twice a year, every year for the next 7 years.
